A Bespectacled Girl's Blog

Hi I am a college student that reads and sews in her free time. I enjoy reading fantasy, Science fiction, and the occasional Memoir. I own a Nook and if you want to share lend me books then hit me up with a message
The Dream-Maker's Magic - Sharon Shinn I Read the Truth-teller's novel a while back and I fell in love with the idea that people could relate with trees.

While the story focus shifts from what I remember, I did enjoy the relationship between Keller and Gryffin. They have been wronged by the people around them but still contain hope.

A very pleasant read.
Howl's Moving Castle - Diana Wynne Jones My interest in Howl's Moving Castle originated from the publicity of the movie made by Hayao Miyazaki.

Boy was I in for a surprise.

I can see where the movie originated from, but this novel is witty and an artisan example of imagination and entwined storytelling. The characters are palpitating with originality and their own spunky personal traits.

It was a very flowing read and I will own it in my near future.
Monkey High!, Volume 1 - Shouko Akira Very cute, I have a soft spot for couples with the same height. <3
Truesight - David Stahler Jr. A chilling tale in which things aren't what they appear.

A society of only blind people...
Mars #1 - Fuyumi Soryo The characters are intriguing and fresh.
Angels & Demons - Dan Brown Very fast paced and will keep readers googling the setting.
The Secret Hour (Midnighters #1) - Scott Westerfeld A very unique plot in the 25th Hour. It kept me reading till midnight.
The Alchemyst - Michael Scott The plot was riveting and exciting but some of the dialogue and jokes are repetitive.
I Am Number Four - Pittacus Lore It was Amazing <3!
